The shorter rod length provides excellent manoeuvrability and helps reduce physical strain during prolonged fights, making it a great option for smaller-framed anglers and female anglers as well.
Despite its compact length, it delivers casting distance comparable to rods in the high-7ft class.

Fighting Style
The WhiteInsight 7210 is designed for targeting bluefin tuna and large yellowfin tuna, where fights can sometimes last for several hours. As the rod is also built to handle the high drag pressures associated with PE10 line, conserving the angler’s strength becomes extremely important. For this reason, the recommended fighting style differs from that used with other models.
With the OceanSprinter 8110, which is in the same PE class, the angler generally lowers their centre of gravity and uses the legs to lift the fish while avoiding holding the rod too upright. Anglers with sufficient upper-body strength and body weight can also take advantage of the rod’s lifting power using mainly their arms. The rod butt is typically positioned around the groin area in the fighting belt. However, this style is generally limited to around 15 minutes of intense fighting, making it well suited to GT and kingfish situations where the aim is to finish the fight quickly.
By contrast, the greatest advantage of the WhiteInsight 7210 is that the rod can be held more upright, bringing the point of flex closer to the angler and transferring more of the load toward the rod butt. This helps reduce the consumption of arm strength, back strength and grip strength. Please refer to Images 1–8 below, or the Yonaguni YouTube footage, for examples of this fighting style.
When the rod is held upright, much of the load is concentrated at the rod butt and transferred through the rod belt to the fighting belt. For this reason, a suspension-type rod belt attached to the fighting belt is required. During testing, a Souls rod belt was used.
Avoid lowering your body more than necessary, as this will place additional strain on your back and legs. Hold the rod relatively lightly whenever possible. If your grip strength begins to fade, you may support the rod with your elbow, or remove the rod butt from the belt and rest the rod under your arm.
A prolonged tuna fight of this type can be extremely demanding and may continue for an unknown length of time. It is best approached more like a long-distance race, where conserving energy throughout the fight is essential. This fighting style is also suitable for the WhiteInsight 8010.
By comparison, GT and kingfish fishing is more like a sprint, where the objective is to finish the fight quickly. This applies particularly to the OceanSprinter 838 / 8110 / 711RS / 7510NL.
Important Note
Although the WhiteInsight series uses a carbon construction with greater resistance to breakage than the OceanSprinter series, incorrect handling can still result in rod damage.
Extra care is required near the final stages of landing a tuna. If the fish begins making large circles and moves directly beneath the boat, do not continue holding the rod upright. Instead, remove the rod butt from the fighting belt and reposition the rod, such as by holding it under your arm, to follow the fish safely.

Note: This does not mean that the WhiteInsight 828 is stronger than the OceanSprinter 838. These recommendations are based on the balance between fight duration and drag pressure, particularly as fights become longer with larger tuna.

The JDM Rod/Reels come with a Japan domestic warranty (which is the Japanese standard) and it is effective one year from the date of purchase to the original purchaser. There is no warranty card for reels, and you only need to provide the purchase receipt for claiming it. A warranty card will come with most of rods (except some low-price rods) and you need to provide it along with the purchase receipt.
The warranty does not cover claims arising from normal wear and tear, improper use or neglect or servicing. However, you have a chance to replace the broken section of the rod(multi-piece rods) or the whole rod(one-piece rods) within the one year warranty period(except some low price rods).This warranty service is available to use only one time and there is an excess fee (written on the warranty card) occurs. Also there is a $50 of international shipping fee occurs.
These rods/reels are only sold in Japan and no service or repair are available in Australia and we need to send them back to Japan. The service and repair fee will be quoted by manufacturer, and we charge a $50 of international shipping fee.
We will do our best to provide appropriate repair assistance given the nature of the damage.
Note: We accept warranty repair / service requests from existing customers but are unable to accommodate the requests for items purchased at another store.

本店的日本国内型号渔竿、渔轮在进口时附带的是日本国内保修卡（条款符合日本国内标准）。保证书从购买之日起生效，有效期为一年，仅限原购买者有效。一般来说，本店日本进口渔竿会附带一张日本保修卡（一些低价入门杆除外），在送修时需要与购买凭证一起出示。本店日本进口渔轮一般不会附带日本保修卡，送修是仅需提供购买凭证即可。
正常使用痕迹、疏忽所造成伤害和错误使用或维护所造成的损伤不在保修范围之内。在一年保修期内，客户可以一次性使用相应保修卡更换受损渔竿的一节（多节杆）或整支（一节杆）。保修卡只能使用一次，而且需要支付出险费（金额在保修卡上列出）和国际运费（通常为$50）。渔轮如出现问题，厂家技术员会判断损坏原因，并只对制造过程中的缺陷进行质保。
因为日本本地进口渔竿和渔轮在澳洲没有维修点，所以我们在您申请保修时需要将它们送回日本维修或更换。不在保修期内或是不在保修范围内的渔具，厂家会对修理的的费用进行报价，本店也会收取$50的国际运费。
