When targeting grouper (hata), a soft plastic lure (worm) can be considered a must-have item.

Depending on the season and location, grouper prey on a variety of food sources, including crustaceans such as shrimp and crabs, small baitfish, and even mollusks like squid.

However, if we consider what they feed on most consistently throughout the year, crustaceans like shrimp and crabs rank at the top. This is largely because grouper spend much of their time lurking in the bottom range.

In other words, while grouper fishing involves using a variety of lures and techniques, the crustacean pattern is a method that should never be overlooked.

“Hata-Gui Ebi” (Grouper-Eating Shrimp) was developed with a focus on achieving a realistic silhouette that leads to immediate bites without triggering the fish’s wariness. Slits are placed at the base of the claws to create a lifelike, glossy movement, as if the lure were alive. Emphasis has been placed on action and on how the lure follows water currents naturally.

Additionally, to further enhance its fish-attracting power, it is generously infused with a shrimp formula scent, which significantly increases bite effectiveness.
