Ripple Fisher's jigging rod series "SELFISH" is a series that places emphasis on fully enjoying jigging and the process of catching fish. This rod series can be used easily all day, with excellent operability and sensitivity. After the fish is hooked, the slender yet highly resilient blank bends as a whole, lifting the fish quickly while suppressing the fish's thrust.
In 2026, we will be adding three new models to the AJ series, creating a lineup that can handle a wider variety of patterns and changing conditions.
"AJ - Aggressive Jerk" is a series characterized by outstanding response and able to perform dynamic lure control with high sensitivity that allows anglers to detect changes in the current and water pressure.
"NS - Natural Swim" is a series that specializes in high controllability of jigs when the boat is drifting naturally (line on a diagonal angle), allowing the jig to move naturally even in shallow waters or when the current is slow.

The Aggressive Jerk series excels at high speed and sliding action jigs. These specialized models allow the angler to tirelessly do vertical jigging without losing the sensitivity even in deep waters or areas with fast flowing currents.

SELFISH AJ 603

The AJ603 builds on the crisp, responsive handling of the AJ612 and has been specifically refined for using jig weights of around 180g which are the generally the main weight for your local waters. Its strong, resilient backbone delivers powerful repulsion, allowing anglers to widely slide their jigs and also conduct high-speed jerks. Even in high-pressure areas where there are many anglers, or during low-activity periods when the flow of the current slows right down and fish are reluctant to bite, the rods explosive initial response delivers crisp action, proving highly effective in triggering strikes from wary fish. The AJ603 best embodies the sharp action and refined sensitivity unique to the Selfish series, while also being equipped with the sturdy double-foot guides. As the standard for your local waters, this new model will serve as a new foundation for anglers, capable of not only vertical jigging but also natural drifting of the boat in shallow areas with the jig and line on a diagonal angle.

Static load comparison of Selfish series (1kg load)

This is a comparison of rods bending with a static load of 1 kg applied to the Selfish Series. The AJ series has overall stiffness throughout the rod but is designed to bend smoothly once it is loaded. While the AJ does not bend much at lighter loads, the NS series is designed to bend at the belly section with the lighter load with less repulsive force. The SEB is a blank design which has taken the best parts of the AJ and the NS, allowing anglers to perform static and dynamic actions of the jig.
