A swimming jig made of high-density tungsten for strong swimming with just winding.

A small silhouette jig made of tungsten alloy with a density 1.7 times that of lead. The basic method of use is simply winding, and the jig swims firmly. It generates a moderate wobbling action with an intermediate level of vibration. Even when retrieved against the current or retrieved quickly, it swims naturally without excessive movement, allowing the tide to flow moderately. The resistance is also moderate, making it easy for anyone to use this tungsten swimming jig.

  • Weight: 60g
  • Length: 70mm
  • Width: 12mm
  • Target fish: Red seabream, yellowback seabream, flounder, rockfish, grunt, sea bass, hairtail etc.

[How to use]

For red seabream jigging, you would set up a light jigging rod, an SLJ compatible rod, or a red seabream jigging-specific rod paired with a small to medium spinning reel. Alternatively, for bait rods, you would use a small baitcasting reel.

The PE line used depends on the power of the rod, but typically ranges from 0.6 to 1.0 in size, with 0.8 being the standard. A fluorocarbon shock leader of about 2 to 3 meters is connected. For wanting to achieve casting distance, shorter lengths are less prone to trouble and easier to use.

The basic technique involves casting the jig and letting it sink to the bottom or to the specified depth, then using a slow to medium speed retrieve. You reel in the jig at a steady pace while feeling the resistance from the current that the jig encounters.

Vertical jigging can also be effective, but having the line at an angle allows for a longer sweeping range, increasing the chances of a hit.

The depth at which you use the 60g or 80g jig depends on the tide and the flow of the boat. As a general guide, the 60g jig is suitable for depths ranging from 30 to 80 meters, while the 80g jig is suitable for depths ranging from 40 to 100 meters.

For hook setting, attach specialized red seabream jigging hooks both at the front and rear. When you want to retrieve more slowly or create larger actions, using just the rear hook alone is also recommended.
