OVERVIEW

Saltiga 15 is the ultimate compact star drag overhead. Ideally suited to a wide variety of light jigging situations, the compact size and newly designed thumb rest frame design make the reel comfortable to palm over many hours of repetitive jigging.

HYPERDRIVE DESIGN is equipped in Saltiga 15 to maximise the reels performance under heavy load, HYPERDRIVE DIGIGEAR increases gear strength and efficiency making this reel incredibly easy to wind.

HYPER ARMED HOUSING and HYPER TOUGH CLUTCH both combine for a solid feeling reel maximising confidence when in use. 8kg of ATD drag with click mechanism provides enough stopping power for even large reef dwelling fish that pull hard to get back down.

 

ATD DRAG

Daiwa’s Automatic Tournament Drag uses an improved drag grease that exhibits a low viscosity at rest, yet becomes more viscous immediately after drag start up. This reduces initial drag start-up inertia and combined with the structural changes of the ATD Drag System results in a smoother drag from the initial hook up.

MAGSEALED BEARINGS

MagSeal protection is no longer just for the main shaft and rotor of a reel with MagSealed Ball Bearings providing ultimate protection for the most at risk location such as the engine side plate and line roller.
